The 2010 Floods July 2010 monsoon floods in Pakistan, more then 20 million people displaced and lost their homes, domestic goods, cattle and crops. People, living across the long Mahal Stream of District Bagh of Azad Jummu & Kashmir (AJK) Pakistan were also badly affected by this natural disaster.
Maqsood Welfare Foundation carry out a detail initial assessment of the damages of the area, and on the basis of the data collected during this assessment a formal proposal to assist the affected population for the reconstruction of their homes, were forwarded to World Jewish Relief - UK for funding purpose. World Jewish Relief Extend their generous cooperation and approved grant amounting to £30,000/= for 180 families and a formal agreement between World Jewish Relief and Maqsood Welfare Foundation/Human Aid Focus were signed. World Jewish Relief released first installment amounting to £7,500/=. This amount were distributed among 42 families @ PKR 20,000/= per family, during a cheque distribution ceremonial held at Bagh International Hotel on 06-October-2010.
