Eleven Years old, Sadia, lives in village Hollar Sayidan near Mahal Stream, of District Bagh AJK, Pakistan. This area was the worst affected region in District Bagh AJK. The Hollar Sayidan, which lies on the banks of the Mahal; Stream, was devastated by the flood water and Sadia's family house was completely destroyed. But financial assistance, provided by World Jewish Relief - UK  help the Sadia's Family to construct temporary home for Sadia and his family while they start to rebuild their lives.

When the shelter home of Sadia was completed, Maqsood Welfare Foundation Officials visit this temporary home of Sadia and make some questions to this little girl which she responded as below:-

Q: When the flood came, what was the situation, what steps your family took, what were your feelings?

Ans: "It had been raining for two days when we were told that water in Mahal stream is upraising very quickly and will surround the village in coming 06-08 hours," recalls Sadia. "Our neighbors were hastily running towards some safer place. We also collected some of our precious goods, which we can collect in this short time, and we moved into next door village Paddar Sayidan in our grandfather's house. Later that day we found that our house had been destroyed by the flooded stream. I and my two small brothers lost our books, clothes and toys when the water came. I also lost my small beautiful doll, which my mom gifted me on my birthday. My all family was very sad and we all were very much worried about our uncertain future"

Maqsood Welfare Foundation/Human Aid Focus with the generous funding of World Jewish Relief - UK initiated Rehabilitation Project for these effected communities to financially assist them for construction of their temporary homes. Because Sadia and his family had lost their entire home, they were immediately selected to receive this financial assistance for construction of their shelter. The WJR Financial Assistance has given them a chance to move into their own home and start rebuilding their lives.

What do you think about the financial assistance you received for the construction of this shelter, MWF staff inquired from Sadia's Father, "I know these things will not replace my old house but at least it will be my family's first step towards a new home. I am grateful to you for supporting us in our critical days."
